How can we help?
Here at IF creative we don’t believe in one off projects and a farewell handshake, we believe in creating long lasting relationships with all of our clients to ensure the project thrives from the very beginning.
The University of Lincoln wanted to generate interest and increase applications for post-graduate science and engineering amongst women.
In order to do this they created the initiative WISE, (Women In Science and Engineering). They ran several events, such as school activity days, talks from leading women working in science and engineering and University open days to encourage women to pursue this career.
A fundamental issue they found was that for many years, science and engineering has been a male dominated field and many young women dismiss it. It was important to educate young people that this sector was an environment open to women and a place where they could thrive.
The University of Lincoln approached us to design and produce a set of marketing material to promote their message and advertise their events.
Our aim was to speak to women currently in education. Ages of the students varied widely from school children to undergraduates.
The aim was to raise awareness of the opportunities for women to work in science and engineering. A key factor was to break the preconception that these sectors are male dominated.
Due to the WISE campaign, the University of Lincoln has seen a significant increase in applications from women for post-graduate studies in science and engineering. The University of Lincoln have also run several school workshops and helped encourage girls to pursue science and engineering in their careers.
